modern art ensemble

The modern art ensemble was founded 1994 and has presented its own concert series in Konzerthaus Berlin since 2003.The modern art ensemble has presented a wide spectrum of the contemporary music by many important New Music composers including the most current compositions of the present day.It has collaborated with numerous composers from Berlin, Europe and from from East- and Southeast-Asia and is has played more than 130 world performances.

Concert tours led the ensemble to South-Korea, the Philippines, Poland and Bulgaria. It has realized many music-theatre productions in Konzerthaus Berlin, as well as concertant opera performances and live-music-performances to movies. It has published several CD's, including portrait-CDs with music by Sidney Corbett and Gerald Humel, and a CD „Haiku“, with works by 13 Berlin composers. In 2017 the Berlin based label „made from nothing“ released the newest CD of the modern art ensemble: „...ins Extreme geschrieben“ with music by Georg Katzer, Hermann Keller and Helmut Zapf.
